Danique (Dani) first experienced yoga through a kundalini series with her Mother as a teenager. She’s dabbled in different yoga styles since then, but she’d found her home in vinyasa.
Introduced to Highland Yoga by a family friend when she first moved to Atlanta in 2016 for graduate school, Dani immediately fell in love with the studio’s atmosphere and energy. When the pandemic hit and her career in public health began operating in overdrive to respond to COVID-19, she found yoga was the one constant in all the chaos that she could rely on to calm her stress, relieve her anxiety, and keep her spirits up.
To expand her learning of yoga philosophy and deepen her connection to the Atlanta yoga community, Dani completed her 200-hour teaching training at Highland Yoga in Spring 2022. She aims to foster an inclusive, inspiring and supportive environment for her students that empowers them to listen to what they need in the present moment. Students can expect a high energy and dynamic class that is challenging but accessible to any experience level. She hopes her students will leave their mats feeling grounded, relaxed and better prepared to tackle whatever life throws at them.
